GLASS & ALUMINUM MANAGER

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of working experience in glass and aluminum fabrication, installation, or related operations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Metal Fabrication, Tool & Die, Welding) or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing glass and aluminum fabrication and installation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of glass and aluminum systems, fabrication techniques, and installation procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, window schedules, plans, and shop drawings.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety standards, building regulations, and construction codes.
  • Relevant technical or trade qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Glazing or similar certification, are an advantage.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and supervisory skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in logistics management and operational streamlining.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and oversee glass and aluminum projects from initial planning through completion.
  • Manage residential and commercial fabrication and installation projects to ensure timely and quality delivery.
  • Supervise and lead a team of glaziers, fabricators, and installation personnel.
  • Coordinate fabrication, assembly, and installation of glass and aluminum products according to project specifications.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, window schedules, architectural plans, and shop drawings.
  • Ensure all fabrication and installation activities comply with relevant safety standards, building codes, and industry regulations.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to achieve operational objectives.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality control, and safety performance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate logistics, material deliveries, and workflow to optimize productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor project progress to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Prepare project reports, documentation, and operational updates for management.
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members to improve technical and leadership capabilities.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, safety, and customer satisfaction.
