Savvana Constructions Limited is seeking an experienced Plant Engineer (Modular & Precast Concrete) to oversee engineering, maintenance, asset management, and operational reliability activities within its modular and precast concrete manufacturing facilities. The successful candidate will provide engineering leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations while supporting production requirements and business growth.
Plant Engineer (Modular & Precast Concrete)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of working experience in industrial plant engineering, manufacturing operations, or related industries.
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineering Registration is preferred.
- Asset Management or Reliability Engineering qualifications are highly desirable.
- Project Management training is an advantage.
- HSEQ or Integrated Management System (IMS) training is preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a senior engineering or maintenance management role.
- Experience in precast concrete manufacturing facilities is required.
- Experience in modular construction or industrial manufacturing environments is required.
- Experience managing large maintenance teams and contractors.
- Experience implementing preventive maintenance and asset management systems.
- Experience working within ISO-certified organizations is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
- Experience in plant and equipment maintenance, reliability engineering, and asset management.
- Knowledge of utilities management, infrastructure systems, and industrial facilities.
- Strong project management and contractor management skills.
- Experience in budget preparation, cost control, and financial management.
- Excellent technical report writing and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development abilities.
- Knowledge of risk management, continuous improvement methodologies, and ISO standards.
- Must have previous experience in modular and precast construction projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and engineering documentation systems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering leadership for all factory equipment, production machinery, and plant assets.
- Develop and implement engineering strategies to improve plant reliability, productivity, and operational performance.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with applicable engineering standards, safety regulations, and company requirements.
- Provide technical support to production, manufacturing, and project delivery teams.
- Review, approve, and implement engineering modifications and plant improvement projects.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all production equipment and facilities.
- Plan and manage scheduled maintenance activities across production facilities.
- Coordinate equipment breakdown repairs and emergency maintenance responses.
- Monitor maintenance performance, equipment reliability, and maintenance key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and according to established procedures.
- Maintain and manage comprehensive asset management systems.
- Develop lifecycle management plans for plant equipment and critical assets.
- Monitor asset condition, equipment performance, and maintenance histories.
- Recommend equipment replacement, refurbishment, and upgrade programs.
- Maintain plant asset registers and technical maintenance records.
- Ensure equipment availability supports production schedules and operational requirements.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with production planning to minimize downtime.
- Support production teams in resolving equipment-related issues.
- Improve plant utilization and operational efficiency through engineering solutions.
- Manage factory utilities including electrical systems, water systems, compressed air systems, generators, HVAC systems, and related infrastructure.
- Monitor utility consumption and implement efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate repairs, upgrades, and maintenance of factory infrastructure.
- Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Lead reliability improvement and continuous improvement programs.
- Monitor equipment performance indicators and recommend productivity enhancements.
- Manage engineering projects, equipment installations, and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate procurement, installation, and commissioning of new plant and equipment.
- Oversee factory expansion, modernization, and upgrade projects.
- Ensure engineering projects are completed within approved budgets and schedules.
- Prepare engineering reports, maintenance reports, and performance analyses for management.
- Maintain technical documentation, maintenance records, and engineering files.
