Twin Island Private Limited is seeking qualified Commis 1 candidates for deployment to the Maldives. The successful candidates will assist in food preparation, support kitchen operations, and work closely with senior chefs to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality dishes, particularly in Western cuisine.
Commis 1
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) year of working experience in a similar kitchen position.
- Experience in Western cuisine is required.
- Experience working in a hotel environment is an advantage.
- No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
- Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills under the guidance of senior chefs.
- Physically fit and capable of performing kitchen duties for extended periods.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of food according to established recipes and kitchen standards.
- Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meats, sauces, and garnishes for daily kitchen operations.
- Support senior chefs and kitchen supervisors in food production and meal service.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of ingredients in accordance with food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Follow hygiene, sanitation, and food safety procedures at all times.
- Assist in portioning, plating, and presentation of dishes according to company standards.
- Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of ingredient shortages or kitchen supply requirements.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Participate in receiving and storing food deliveries properly.
- Maintain quality, consistency, and timely preparation of menu items.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by senior chefs and management.
Requirements:
- Updated Resume with recent clear photo
- High School Diploma if High School Graduate
- Diploma and TOR if College Graduate
- Employment certificates (previous to present)
- Trainings attended
- Exit visa and Iqama id (Ex Saudi)
- Passport copy (1 year valid)
