Job Location: Oman
Noorani Trading Establishment is seeking qualified and experienced Seafood Operations Supervisors for an overseas work opportunity in Oman. The successful candidate will supervise seafood processing operations, ensure food safety and quality standards, coordinate production activities, and help meet daily production targets.
SEAFOOD OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food and Beverage Preparation/Service Management, Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in the fishing or seafood processing industry.
- Knowledge of seafood processing methods, procedures, and equipment.
- Good understanding of HACCP and GMP.
- Experience supervising production or processing operations is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines and targets.
- Basic computer skills and reporting abilities.
- Able to understand English.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of workplace hygiene, sanitation, and food safety practices.
- Responsible and capable of leading a production team.
- Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced seafood processing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily seafood processing and production operations.
- Coordinate and monitor the activities of seafood processing workers.
- Ensure seafood products are handled and processed according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Monitor the proper operation and use of seafood processing equipment.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation requirements.
- Monitor production processes to maintain product quality and consistency.
- Ensure raw materials and seafood products are handled, stored, and processed properly.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure daily targets and deadlines are achieved.
- Identify production problems, equipment issues, quality concerns, and food safety risks and take appropriate action.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel regarding equipment breakdowns and repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections of production areas and processing equipment.
- Maintain accurate production records, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
- Prepare basic reports and communicate production updates to management.
- Train and guide workers on proper seafood processing, hygiene, food safety, and workplace procedures.
- Ensure workers follow company safety policies and proper personal protective equipment requirements.
- Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions when quality or food safety issues arise.
- Perform other duties related to seafood operations as assigned by management.
