MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of working experience in mechanical engineering or related industries.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in reading and interpreting engineering shop drawings is an advantage.
- Good familiarity with steel and aluminum manufacturing processes.
- Strong knowledge of steel and aluminum sections, including shapes, weights, and material properties.
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and 3D applications.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in preparing Bills of Materials (BOM) and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
- Ability to prepare technical and commercial price quotations for clients.
- Knowledge of engineering software such as ETABS, STAAD, SAP2000, PROKON, and IDEA STATICA is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and interpret engineering shop drawings for steel and aluminum fabrication projects.
- Develop detailed mechanical drawings and designs using AutoCAD 2D and 3D software.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for projects.
- Analyze steel and aluminum sections, including shapes, sizes, weights, and material specifications.
- Prepare cost estimates and price quotations for clients based on project requirements.
- Coordinate with production, fabrication, and installation teams to ensure accurate project execution.
- Review project specifications, technical documents, and client requirements.
- Assist in structural and mechanical design calculations using engineering software.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and project specifications.
- Monitor project progress and provide technical support during fabrication and installation activities.
- Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and engineering records.
- Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and project teams regarding technical requirements and project updates.
- Participate in design reviews, problem-solving activities, and project meetings.
- Maintain workplace safety and comply with company policies and engineering standards.
