MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of working experience in mechanical engineering or related industries.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in reading and interpreting engineering shop drawings is an advantage.
• Good familiarity with steel and aluminum manufacturing processes.
• Strong knowledge of steel and aluminum sections, including shapes, weights, and material properties.
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and 3D applications.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in preparing Bills of Materials (BOM) and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Ability to prepare technical and commercial price quotations for clients.
• Knowledge of engineering software such as ETABS, STAAD, SAP2000, PROKON, and IDEA STATICA is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and interpret engineering shop drawings for steel and aluminum fabrication projects.
• Develop detailed mechanical drawings and designs using AutoCAD 2D and 3D software.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for projects.
• Analyze steel and aluminum sections, including shapes, sizes, weights, and material specifications.
• Prepare cost estimates and price quotations for clients based on project requirements.
• Coordinate with production, fabrication, and installation teams to ensure accurate project execution.
• Review project specifications, technical documents, and client requirements.
• Assist in structural and mechanical design calculations using engineering software.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and project specifications.
• Monitor project progress and provide technical support during fabrication and installation activities.
• Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and engineering records.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and project teams regarding technical requirements and project updates.
• Participate in design reviews, problem-solving activities, and project meetings.
• Maintain workplace safety and comply with company policies and engineering standards.
