Senior Engineer – Renewable Project Engineering & Commissioning
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Prof’l License (Passed Board/Bar/Prof’l License Exam) holder.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field.
5–10 years of hands-on experience in renewable energy projects, particularly PV, BESS, Hybrid PPC, and EMS systems. - Proven experience in project engineering and on-site commissioning of renewable energy systems.
- Strong knowledge of grid-connected PV systems, BESS technology, microgrids, and utility interconnection.
- Proficient in engineering and simulation software such as PVSyst, AutoCAD, ETAP, or PowerFactory.
- Knowledge of battery technologies, battery degradation, and charge/discharge cycles.
- Strong understanding of power electronics, grid codes, protection systems, and relay settings.
- Project management, engineering, or commissioning certification such as PMP or CEM is an advantage but not required.
- Strong technical, coordination, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering design, planning, testing, and commissioning of PV (Photovoltaic) and BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) projects.
- Prepare detailed electrical layouts, schematics, system architecture, and other engineering documents for PV and BESS systems.
- Perform technical calculations such as energy yield forecasts, load flow analysis, and equipment sizing.
- Plan and conduct pre-commissioning tests for PV modules, inverters, transformers, battery systems, and BMS.
- Lead on-site commissioning activities, including system energization, performance testing, and grid synchronization.
- Oversee system testing, including insulation resistance, grounding, protection, and performance validation.
- Test and verify SCADA, monitoring, data acquisition, and control systems.
- Coordinate with project, engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure successful project completion.
- Ensure all engineering and commissioning activities comply with applicable grid codes, safety requirements, industry standards, and project specifications.
