Our employer Middle East Battery Company is in need of the following:
INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN ( MANUFACTURING WORKER)
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in troubleshooting industrial automation control systems.
- Proven experience with:
- PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)
- PAC (Programmable Automation Controller)
- HMI (Human-Machine Interface)
- Servo motor controls
- LAN/network systems
- VFD (Variable Frequency Drive)
- Electro-pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and piping/instrumentation diagrams.
- Ability to read and understand machine programs and control logic.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures for industrial machinery and automation systems.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley controls is an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a technical maintenance team.
Responsibilities:
- Read, interpret, and troubleshoot machine control programs involving PLC, PAC, and HMI systems.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and automation control systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot industrial automation and electrical control system faults to minimize machine downtime.
- Interpret electrical, pneumatic, and piping/instrumentation diagrams to identify system components and troubleshoot equipment problems.
- Troubleshoot and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Programmable Automation
- Controllers (PAC), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), servo motor controls, LAN systems, VFDs, and electro-pneumatic systems.
- Inspect, test, and replace defective electrical, electronic, automation, and control-system components.
- Perform routine machine inspections and preventive maintenance according to established schedules and procedures.
- Assist in machine modifications, control-system improvements, and automation-related installations as required.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment faults, repairs, and replaced components.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and ensure all maintenance activities comply with company standards.
