PETROL/FUEL SALES ATTENDANT
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience is required.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Basic to proficient English communication skills.
- Relevant experience in a gas station, fuel station, retail, customer service, or similar environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle checks is an advantage.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Honest, responsible, and safety-conscious.
- Able to handle cash and operate POS systems accurately.
- Willing to work outdoors and in a fast-paced service environment.
- Physically fit and capable of standing and performing manual duties for extended periods.
- Able to follow strict fuel-handling and workplace safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with petrol and diesel refueling and ensure the correct fuel type is dispensed.
- Operate fuel pumps safely and efficiently according to company procedures.
- Greet customers professionally and provide information about fuel types, promotions, and available services.
- Assist customers with basic vehicle checks such as engine oil, water levels, and tire pressure when required.
- Process cash, credit card, and digital payments accurately using POS systems.
- Issue receipts and ensure transaction records are accurate.
- Assist customers with purchases of convenience store products, snacks, car accessories, and other items when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the fuel station forecourt, pumps, and surrounding areas.
- Clean vehicle windscreens and mirrors when required.
- Clean and maintain restrooms and other customer facilities.
- Refill supplies such as windshield washer fluid, paper towels, and other station necessities.
- Follow strict health, safety, and environmental procedures when handling fuel and other hazardous materials.
- Identify and report fuel spills, hazards, equipment malfunctions, and unsafe conditions immediately.
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of hazardous materials and fuel-related supplies.
- Assist with inventory management, including checking stock levels and product expiration dates.
- Replenish convenience store and service station supplies as needed.
- Assist in receiving and checking deliveries.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous customer service.
- Follow company policies, safety regulations, and operating procedures.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
