BARISTA
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience is required.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Basic to proficient English communication skills.
- Relevant barista, café, restaurant, or food-service experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation, espresso machines, and beverage service is an advantage.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Able to operate POS systems and handle customer transactions.
- Physically fit and capable of standing and working for extended periods.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced customer-service environment.
- Responsible, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, and teas.
- Prepare and serve food items such as soups, sandwiches, and pastries.
- Operate espresso machines, coffee grinders, brewers, milk frothers, and other café equipment safely and efficiently.
- Greet customers warmly and provide professional customer service.
- Take customer orders accurately and provide menu recommendations when appropriate.
- Ask about and properly note dietary restrictions, preferences, and customizations.
- Prepare beverages according to established company recipes, procedures, and quality standards.
- Build positive relationships with customers and promote suitable menu options.
- Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system and process customer transactions accurately.
- Monitor and restock supplies, including cups, lids, coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter, café seating area, and workstations.
- Clean coffee grinders, decanters, milk frothers, countertops, and other equipment.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including setup, cleaning, stock checking, and inventory tasks.
- Monitor product quality and report equipment or supply issues to supervisors.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
