AIRFIELD LIGHTING AND POWER TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
• No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Previous experience in airport lighting, electrical maintenance, or similar electrical systems is an advantage.
• Knowledge of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems, wiring, transformers, and generators.
• Able to perform electrical troubleshooting, testing, inspection, and preventive maintenance.
• Physically fit and willing to work outdoors and in various weather conditions.
• Safety-conscious, reliable, and able to respond quickly to electrical maintenance issues.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair airport lighting systems, including runway edge lights, approach lighting systems, taxiway signs, transformers, generators, and switchboards.
• Troubleshoot and repair high-voltage and low-voltage electrical circuits, wiring, transformers, and regulators.
• Quickly identify and replace faulty or isolated transformers and regulators to minimize equipment downtime.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of airport electrical and lighting systems.
• Conduct photometric measurements and alignment checks to ensure proper lighting performance.
• Monitor power supplies and lighting systems daily to ensure reliable and safe operation.
• Follow electrical safety procedures and airport maintenance standards at all times.
