NURSE ASSISTANT
Qualifications:
- Female applicants are preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience is required.
- Must hold a professional license / passed professional licensure examination as required for the position.
- Experience in patient care, hospital, clinic, long-term care, home care, or similar healthcare settings is an advantage.
- Good understanding of basic patient care and hygiene procedures.
- Ability to monitor and report basic vital signs and patient symptoms.
- Physically capable of assisting with patient transfers, repositioning, mobility, and other care activities.
- Compassionate, patient, responsible, and respectful toward patients.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Registered Nurses, doctors, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, including bathing, brushing teeth, dressing, and using the bathroom.
- Help patients with toileting and maintain proper hygiene and comfort.
- Assist patients with meals by serving food and providing feeding assistance when necessary.
- Monitor and record basic vital signs, including blood pressure and temperature.
- Observe patients for unusual symptoms or changes in their condition and promptly report concerns to a Registered Nurse or doctor.
- Assist patients with mobility and movement around the healthcare facility or care environment.
- Safely turn, reposition, and transfer patients between beds, wheelchairs, chairs, and other locations.
- Provide appropriate support to patients with mobility limitations.
- Listen attentively to patients’ health concerns and communicate relevant information to the nursing team.
- Maintain patient comfort, dignity, privacy, and safety at all times.
- Assist with basic patient care activities as directed by Registered Nurses or other healthcare professionals.
- Keep patient areas clean, safe, and organized.
- Follow infection prevention, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Document or report patient care activities and observations as required.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Registered Nurse, doctor, or management.
