HORTICULTURIST (INDOOR PLANT)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in horticulture and nursery operations.
• Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Agriculture or a related field.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Must have experience in the administration of a commercial nursery, preferably in tropical or sub-tropical desert areas.
• Experienced in gardening and landscaping works including earth removal, pruning, procurement, and propagation of plants.
• Familiarity with new varieties of flowers, spring and summer bulbs, herbs, and vegetables.
• Strong knowledge of indoor plant care, ornamental horticulture, and landscape maintenance.
• Ability to identify plant health issues and implement proper care and maintenance procedures.
• Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and capable of working in indoor and outdoor horticultural environments.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and maintain indoor plant installations, nursery stock, and ornamental plant displays.
• Perform plant propagation, pruning, watering, fertilization, and pest control activities.
• Manage commercial nursery operations and indoor landscaping requirements.
• Monitor plant health and ensure proper environmental conditions for indoor plants.
• Assist in procurement and selection of plants, flowers, bulbs, herbs, and gardening materials.
• Conduct landscaping and gardening works including preparation and maintenance of plant areas.
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and aesthetic presentation of indoor plant environments.
• Coordinate with supervisors and project teams regarding horticultural and landscaping requirements.
• Maintain records related to plant care, nursery inventory, and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and horticultural standards at all times.
