Machine Shop Technician I

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4–6 years of relevant experience in machine shop operations, mechanical maintenance, or related fields.
• Experience in routine maintenance and repair work within petrochemical plants, fertilizer plants, refineries, chemical plants, and Oil & Gas facilities.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, mechanical repair, and fabrication techniques.
• Experience using machine shop tools, measuring instruments, and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and follow engineering specifications.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work safely in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and maintenance standards.

Responsibilities:

• Operate machine shop equipment and tools for fabrication, repair, and modification of mechanical components.
• Perform machining activities such as cutting, drilling, grinding, and precision fitting of parts.
• Inspect and measure components using appropriate tools and instruments to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Perform repair and maintenance work on mechanical parts and equipment.
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Maintain and operate machine shop tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Identify equipment issues and report maintenance requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work, inspections, and repairs.
• Follow company safety procedures, quality standards, and industrial maintenance practices.
