MECHANIC

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three (3) years of working experience as a Mechanic or in a related maintenance role.
• Candidates must possess a Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Experience in the maintenance and repair of vehicles, trucks, trailers, or industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, schematics, and service documentation.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and mechanical tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Physically fit and capable of performing maintenance work in workshop environments.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect vehicles, trucks, trailers, and equipment to identify mechanical problems and maintenance requirements.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, filter replacement, and component inspections.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Repair or replace worn, damaged, or defective parts and components.
• Conduct troubleshooting procedures to determine the root cause of equipment malfunctions.
• Test vehicles and equipment after repairs to ensure proper functionality and safe operation.
• Perform adjustments, alignments, and calibration of mechanical components as required.
• Assist in minimizing equipment downtime through timely maintenance and repair activities.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, schematics, and service documentation.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and repair documentation.
• Use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and workshop equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, maintenance procedures, and company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop, tools, and work areas.
• Coordinate with supervisors and maintenance teams to ensure efficient equipment availability and reliability.
