QA/QC INSPECTOR INSTRUMENTATION
Qualifications:
- Must be a Bachelor’s Degree holder in Engineering or a related engineering field.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in QA/QC inspection, preferably in instrumentation.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong experience in instrumentation installation, inspection, testing, calibration, and commissioning.
- Knowledge of instrumentation systems, field devices, control valves, transmitters, analyzers, sensors, and related equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret instrumentation drawings, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of applicable instrumentation codes, standards, and quality requirements is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and quality-oriented approach.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Physically fit and capable of working in industrial, construction, and Oil & Gas project environments.
- Able to work independently and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
- Willing to work in site-based construction, shutdown, commissioning, and project environments.

Responsibilities:
- Perform QA/QC inspections of instrumentation installation, testing, calibration, and commissioning activities.
- Inspect instrumentation systems, devices, equipment, cabling, tubing, and related components.
- Review approved engineering drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans (ITPs), method statements, and instrumentation documentation.
- Verify installation of instruments and instrumentation systems against approved drawings, specifications, and manufacturer’s requirements.
- Inspect field instruments including transmitters, gauges, switches, control valves, analyzers, sensors, and other instrumentation devices.
- Verify proper installation, mounting, orientation, tagging, identification, and accessibility of instruments.
- Inspect instrument tubing, fittings, impulse lines, manifolds, junction boxes, cable trays, and associated installation works.
- Verify instrument cabling, termination, continuity, insulation resistance, and proper identification where applicable.
- Witness and verify calibration activities and review calibration certificates.
- Verify loop checking, functional testing, instrument testing, and pre-commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, process, commissioning, and construction teams to resolve instrumentation-related quality issues.
- Identify, document, and report defective, incomplete, or non-conforming work.
- Prepare inspection reports, checklists, test records, non-conformance reports (NCRs), punch lists, and other quality documentation.
- Monitor corrective and preventive actions and verify that identified deficiencies are properly resolved.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, calibration, materials, and instrumentation quality documentation.
- Verify that instrumentation materials and equipment conform to approved specifications and project requirements.
- Participate in inspection meetings, site inspections, system walkdowns, and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate inspections with QA/QC engineers, instrumentation engineers, construction supervisors, contractors, vendors, and client representatives.
- Assist in final inspection, system turnover, mechanical completion, and preparation of quality dossiers.
- Ensure all instrumentation works comply with applicable project standards, safety requirements, specifications, and quality procedures.
- Perform other QA/QC inspection duties as assigned.
