PEST CONTROL TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of working experience.
  • At least High School Graduate.
  • Previous pest control experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding field duties.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to follow instructions, safety procedures, and pest control treatment guidelines.
  • Willing to work outdoors and in different residential, commercial, or industrial environments.
  • Physically fit and able to perform inspection, treatment, and equipment-handling tasks.
  • Responsible, hardworking, reliable, and safety-conscious.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect assigned properties and areas to identify signs of pest infestation.
  • Identify common pests and determine appropriate control and treatment methods.
  • Perform pest control treatments according to established procedures and safety requirements.
  • Apply approved pesticides, insecticides, baits, traps, and other pest control products properly.
  • Set up and maintain traps, bait stations, and other pest control equipment.
  • Treat areas affected by insects, rodents, and other pests.
  • Follow product labels, application instructions, and recommended treatment procedures.
  • Use pest control equipment, tools, and protective gear safely and correctly.
  • Conduct follow-up inspections to assess the effectiveness of pest control treatments.
  • Identify potential pest entry points and recommend appropriate preventive measures.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, treatments, chemicals used, and service activities.
  • Communicate with supervisors, customers, and team members regarding pest control activities and findings.
  • Explain basic pest prevention and sanitation measures to customers when required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of tools, equipment, and work areas.
  • Properly store, handle, and dispose of chemicals and pest control materials.
  • Follow workplace health and safety regulations and environmental procedures.
  • Report equipment problems, safety concerns, or significant pest infestations to the supervisor.
  • Perform other pest control and related duties assigned by management.
