PRODUCTION OPERATOR / PAINTER – POWDER COATER

Qualifications:

  • Male applicants aged 25 to 45 years old.
  • High school or vocational school graduate.
  • At least two (2) years of relevant experience, preferably in aluminum and metal structure manufacturing.
  • Experience in manual powder coating application in an industrial production environment.
  • Ability to set up, operate, and adjust powder coating equipment.
  • Knowledge of surface preparation techniques, including sandblasting and grinding, before painting.
  • Experience in masking, hanging, and unhanging metal products for coating.
  • Ability to perform surface quality inspections and identify coating defects or imperfections.
  • Familiarity with product handling, finishing procedures, and packaging for dispatch.
  • Ability to understand production documentation and follow specified color shades, coating requirements, and technical procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and job instructions.
  • Good attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to product quality.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing manual production and material-handling tasks.
  • Willingness to follow workplace safety procedures and production standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply powder coating manually to aluminum and metal products according to assigned job orders and technical specifications.
  • Set up, operate, and adjust powder coating equipment to achieve the required coating quality and finish.
  • Prepare product surfaces before painting through cleaning, sandblasting, grinding, and other required preparation methods.
  • Inspect prepared surfaces to ensure they are suitable for powder coating.
  • Perform masking of designated product areas to prevent unwanted coating.
  • Hang and position products properly before coating and safely remove them after the coating process.
  • Carry out patination and other finishing treatments according to job order requirements.
  • Check coated surfaces for defects, uneven coverage, scratches, discoloration, and other quality issues.
  • Ensure that finished products meet the prescribed color shades, coating thickness, and appearance requirements specified in production documentation.
  • Handle coated and finished products carefully to prevent scratches, damage, or contamination.
  • Perform necessary finishing work and prepare completed products for packaging and dispatch.
  • Follow technical drawings, manufacturing documentation, job instructions, and established production procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the coating area, tools, and assigned equipment.
  • Follow workplace health and safety requirements, including proper handling of coating materials and equipment.
  • Report coating defects, equipment malfunctions, and production concerns to the supervisor.
  • Perform other related painting, powder coating, and production duties as assigned.
