Aluminum Support Installer

Qualifications:

• Must have hands-on experience installing aluminum systems and components.
• Must have relevant experience working on commercial construction projects.
• Practical knowledge of aluminum support systems, components, and installation methods.
• Ability to use common hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment used in aluminum installation.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings, measurements, and installation instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality workmanship.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual construction work.
• Ability to work safely at construction sites and follow workplace safety procedures.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable, hardworking, responsible, and willing to work in a professional construction environment in New Zealand.

Responsibilities:

• Install aluminum support systems, frames, brackets, rails, channels, and related components.
• Read and interpret basic technical drawings, installation plans, and project specifications.
• Measure, mark, cut, drill, and prepare aluminum materials for installation.
• Position and secure aluminum supports accurately according to project requirements.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and installation equipment safely and correctly.
• Check dimensions, levels, alignment, and positioning before and during installation.
• Install aluminum components on commercial construction projects according to approved methods.
• Ensure installed support systems are properly secured and structurally sound.
• Follow instructions from site supervisors, project managers, and other construction professionals.
• Coordinate with other trades and construction workers to ensure smooth installation activities.
• Inspect completed installations for alignment, workmanship, damage, and compliance with specifications.
• Make necessary adjustments or corrections to ensure proper fit and finish.
• Handle aluminum materials carefully to prevent scratches, dents, deformation, and other damage.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working condition.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from unnecessary hazards.
• Follow construction site safety rules, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Properly handle and store aluminum materials, tools, and installation equipment.
• Report material shortages, damaged components, installation issues, and safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Assist with general site preparation and other installation-related tasks as assigned.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, accuracy, and productivity throughout the project.
