Emdad Human Resources Company is seeking an experienced CNC & Conventional Machining Team Leader to supervise CNC and conventional machining operations and ensure the efficient production of precision components according to engineering drawings, quality standards, and production schedules. The successful candidate will lead machining personnel, optimize machine utilization, monitor production performance, and ensure compliance with Ministry of Defense manufacturing and safety requirements.
Candidates with strong knowledge of CNC programming, machining processes, tooling, precision measurement, production planning, and team supervision are encouraged to apply. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement is an advantage.
CNC & Conventional Machining Team Leader
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Machining Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC and conventional machining.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
- Strong experience operating and supervising CNC and conventional machines, including lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, and grinding machines.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, machining specifications, and process documentation.
- Knowledge of CNC programming, tooling selection, cutting parameters, and machining processes.
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and dial indicators.
- Strong understanding of machining quality standards, inspection procedures, and production planning.
- Excellent leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
- Proficient in basic computer applications and production reporting systems.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and production efficiency.
- Willing to comply with Ministry of Defense manufacturing, quality, safety, and security requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily CNC and conventional machining operations to meet production schedules and quality requirements.
- Lead, assign, and monitor machining personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
- Oversee the operation of CNC and conventional lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, and grinding machines.
- Plan and coordinate machining activities based on production requirements and available resources.
- Monitor machine utilization, production output, quality, and downtime.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, machining specifications, and process documentation.
- Review machining processes and recommend improvements to increase productivity and efficiency.
- Support CNC programming, tooling selection, cutting parameter optimization, and machining process improvements.
- Ensure proper setup and operation of machining equipment.
- Monitor dimensional accuracy and coordinate inspection activities.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and dial indicators.
- Identify production problems, quality issues, and machine-related concerns and implement appropriate solutions.
- Ensure machining activities comply with established quality standards and inspection procedures.
- Prepare and maintain production reports and related documentation.
- Promote Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices where applicable.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment.
- Train, coach, and mentor machining personnel to improve technical skills and productivity.
- Enforce workplace safety procedures and Ministry of Defense manufacturing requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering, quality control, maintenance, and production teams.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
