Seeto Kui Holdings Limited is seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager (Hardware) to lead hardware sales activities and teams across its trading locations in Papua New Guinea. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing sales strategies, managing key customer relationships, coordinating promotional activities, monitoring sales performance, and identifying new market opportunities. Candidates with extensive experience in hardware, building, and plumbing supplies are highly encouraged to apply.
Sales Manager (Hardware)
Qualifications:
- Substantial sales experience at an executive or management level.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in service industries, with strong emphasis on sales of hardware, building, and plumbing supplies.
- Proven experience leading and managing sales teams.
- Strong knowledge of hardware and building materials markets.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Mature, responsible, and professional with strong leadership qualities.
- Cooperative and friendly personality with the ability to develop good relationships with staff and clients.
- Strong organizational and responsible work habits.
- Good market development and business development skills.
- Ability to prepare and analyze sales reports and performance information.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, OR qualified by experience.
- Able to work effectively under pressure and meet sales targets.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and direct hardware sales activities across the company’s trading locations.
- Supervise, guide, and motivate hardware sales staff to achieve sales objectives.
- Monitor sales performance and provide direction to improve productivity and results.
- Liaise with the Marketing Manager and Hardware Buyer regarding promotional activities and product campaigns.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with major customers and key accounts.
- Negotiate sales agreements, pricing, and commercial terms with major customers.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop existing markets.
- Conduct market development activities to increase sales and expand customer reach.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Prepare monthly sales reports and other management reports for the General Manager.
- Chair regular sales meetings with hardware sales staff.
- Review team performance, discuss sales results, and establish priorities and action plans.
- Ensure sales activities are aligned with company policies and business objectives.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth product availability and customer service.
- Develop strategies to increase sales of hardware, building, and plumbing supplies.
- Address customer concerns and resolve sales-related issues professionally.
- Promote a positive, cooperative, and customer-focused sales culture.
- Perform other sales management duties as assigned.
