FORKLIFT TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Mechanical-related Diploma or Degree.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience as a forklift technician or in a similar equipment maintenance position.
• Proven experience working with Toyota, Yale, Crown, and high-rise forklifts or similar equipment.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience operating or working with forklift and high-reach equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and technical equipment problems.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and equipment diagrams.
• Good knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
• Able to safely use maintenance tools, testing instruments, and workshop equipment.
• Good English communication skills.
• Able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Willing to work shifting schedules and adapt to changing operational requirements.
• Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on maintenance and repair work.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, servicing, and repair of forklifts and high-reach equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic faults in forklifts and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and determine appropriate repair or maintenance requirements.
• Service and maintain forklifts from brands such as Toyota, Yale, Crown, and similar equipment.
• Inspect hydraulic systems, cylinders, pumps, hoses, valves, and related components for leaks, wear, and damage.
• Inspect and troubleshoot electrical systems, batteries, wiring, switches, sensors, controllers, and other electrical components.
• Inspect and maintain pneumatic systems and related components where applicable.
• Repair, replace, adjust, and properly reinstall defective or worn mechanical components.
• Conduct preventive maintenance according to manufacturer recommendations and company maintenance schedules.
• Perform functional and operational tests after repairs to ensure equipment is safe and working properly.
• Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and workshop equipment safely and correctly.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, service documentation, equipment specifications, and mechanical schematics.
• Read and interpret hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and equipment-related diagrams when troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, replacement parts, and equipment conditions.
• Identify recurring equipment problems and report major repair requirements to the supervisor.
• Ensure forklifts and high-reach equipment are maintained in safe operating condition.
• Coordinate with equipment operators and other maintenance personnel regarding equipment defects and service requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance workshop and work area.
• Follow company safety policies, equipment maintenance procedures, and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Work with minimal supervision while completing assigned maintenance and repair tasks efficiently.
• Perform other forklift maintenance, repair, and technical duties as assigned by management.
