HOUSEKEEPING

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience.
• At least High School Graduate.
• Experience in the hotel industry is highly desirable.
• Training certificate is highly desirable but not required.
• Strong understanding of hotel operations and the assigned area of deployment.
• Proven practical knowledge of housekeeping, cleaning, sanitation, and hotel room preparation.
• Ability to properly use cleaning equipment, housekeeping tools, and cleaning chemicals.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality.
• Physically fit and capable of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing cleaning duties for extended periods.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Friendly, respectful, reliable, and service-oriented.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision and follow instructions.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas according to hotel standards.
• Make beds, change bed linens, replace towels, and replenish room supplies.
• Replenish toiletries, drinking water, guest amenities, and other room supplies as required.
• Inspect guest rooms to ensure cleanliness, proper arrangement, and readiness for occupancy.
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors, carpets, furniture, fixtures, and other room surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, toilets, sinks, showers, mirrors, and other bathroom fixtures.
• Empty waste bins and properly dispose of garbage and other waste materials.
• Clean and maintain public areas, corridors, stairways, and other assigned hotel facilities.
• Report damaged furniture, fixtures, appliances, plumbing, electrical issues, or other maintenance concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Coordinate with front office regarding room status, guest requests, special cleaning requirements, and room readiness.
• Handle cleaning chemicals, equipment, tools, and supplies safely and according to hotel procedures.
• Follow proper procedures for handling guest belongings and immediately report lost-and-found items.
• Perform deep cleaning and periodic cleaning tasks as assigned.
• Assist with cleaning rooms after guest check-out and prepare them for incoming guests.
• Maintain adequate supplies of linens, towels, toiletries, and housekeeping materials in assigned areas.
• Keep housekeeping carts, storage areas, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
• Follow hotel sanitation, hygiene, health, safety, and infection-control procedures.
• Respond promptly and courteously to reasonable guest requests related to housekeeping services.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect guest privacy while working in occupied rooms.
• Complete assigned cleaning duties within required schedules and quality standards.
• Perform other housekeeping and hotel support duties assigned by management.
