QC INSPECTOR WELDING

Qualifications:

  • Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a QC Inspector – Welding, preferably in industrial or construction projects.
  • Knowledge of welding codes and standards (ASME, AWS, API, or equivalent).
  • Ability to read and interpret welding drawings, WPS, PQR, and ITPs.
  • Certification as a Welding Inspector (CSWIP, AWS CWI, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Good communication and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect welding activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and codes.
  • Verify welding procedures, welder qualifications, and consumables in accordance with project requirements.
  • Conduct visual inspections and coordinate non-destructive testing (NDT) as required.
  • Monitor welding parameters and workmanship during fabrication and installation.
  • Identify, report, and follow up on non-conformances and corrective actions.
  • Review and maintain quality records, inspection reports, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards (e.g., ASME, AWS, ISO) and client requirements.
  • Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, and contractors to resolve quality issues.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards during inspection activities.
