AC TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Install various types of air conditioning units, including central air conditioning systems, ductless mini-split units, and window-type air conditioners.
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnosis of air conditioning system malfunctions using testing equipment and technical manuals.
• Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, capacitors, thermostats, motors, fans, and control systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities, including cleaning filters, coils, and other system components.
• Inspect air conditioning systems to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Test system performance after installation, maintenance, or repairs to ensure proper operation.
• Handle refrigerants and related materials according to safety and environmental regulations.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and service manuals.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and service activities.
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and industry standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other maintenance personnel to complete assigned tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Minimum of two (2) years of working experience as an AC Technician or in a related field.
• Candidates must possess a Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in a related field.
• Experience in installing and servicing central air systems, ductless mini-splits, and window-type air conditioning units.
• Knowledge of air conditioning systems, electrical components, and refrigeration principles.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions using testing equipment and technical manuals.
• Skilled in repairing and replacing compressors, capacitors, thermostats, and other AC components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and service manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
