Qumreya Operation and Maintenance Company is looking for a qualified Electrical Technician to join its maintenance team in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and industrial automation equipment used in a food production manufacturing facility. This role is essential in ensuring continuous production, minimizing equipment downtime, and maintaining compliance with food safety and industrial safety standards.

ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE).
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a food production manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, industrial automation equipment, and electrical control systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and industrial electrical safety procedures.
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary maintenance team.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and emergency maintenance schedules when required.

Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems and production equipment.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in electrical circuits, motors, control panels, PLCs, sensors, and automation systems.
• Install, wire, test, and commission new electrical equipment and machinery.
• Monitor electrical equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Repair or replace defective electrical components, including motors, contactors, relays, circuit breakers, switches, sensors, and control devices.
• Perform routine testing using electrical instruments such as multimeters, insulation resistance testers, and clamp meters.
• Support troubleshooting and maintenance of PLC-controlled production equipment and industrial automation systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance activities, and spare parts usage.
• Coordinate with production, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to minimize production downtime.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and company maintenance standards.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP requirements, and workplace health and safety policies.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests.
• Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment performance and production efficiency.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Engineering Manager.
