NBTC Saudi Arabia is seeking a QC Inspector – Welding to ensure the quality and compliance of welding activities in industrial, oil & gas, and construction projects. The role involves inspecting welding processes, materials, and finished joints to meet project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
INSPECTOR – QC (Welding)
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a QC Welding Inspector in industrial, oil & gas, or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, codes, standards (ASME, AWS, API), and NDT techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret welding drawings, specifications, and schematics.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with QA/QC documentation and reporting procedures.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Certification as a Welding Inspector (e.g., CWI, CSWIP) or relevant NDT certifications is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect welding activities, including procedures, materials, and completed welds, to ensure compliance with project specifications and codes.
- Review welding procedures (WPS), procedure qualification records (PQR), and welder qualification records (WQR).
- Conduct visual inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) as required, including radiographic (RT), ultrasonic (UT), magnetic particle (MT), and dye penetrant (PT) inspections.
- Identify weld defects, document non-conformances, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Verify adherence to safety protocols and quality assurance procedures on-site.
- Collaborate with project engineers, welding supervisors, and QA/QC teams to resolve welding-related issues.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and QA/QC documentation.
