Stellar New Zealand Ltd. is seeking experienced Structural Welders / Fabricators for an overseas employment opportunity in New Zealand. The successful candidates will be responsible for structural steel fabrication and welding work, requiring proven experience in both welding and metal fabrication.

Applicants must have substantial construction industry experience and be proficient in FCAW, GMAW, and MIG welding processes. Candidates with welding experience only, without proven fabrication experience, will not qualify.

STRUCTURAL WELDER / FABRICATOR

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of overseas experience in the construction industry.
• Proven experience in structural fabrication and welding.
• Proficient in:
  • FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding)
  • GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding)
  • MIG welding
• Must have proven fabrication experience.
• Welding experience alone is not sufficient; applicants must have actual fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication specifications.
• Good knowledge of structural steel fabrication and assembly.
• Physically fit and capable of performing demanding construction and fabrication work.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Safety-conscious and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Preferably 45 years old or below.
• Must be willing to take IELTS or PTE.

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and weld structural steel components according to drawings and specifications.
• Perform FCAW, GMAW, and MIG welding on structural steel and fabricated components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication plans, and welding specifications.
• Measure, cut, fit, and assemble steel components accurately.
• Prepare materials and components for welding and fabrication.
• Perform tack welding and final welding while maintaining required quality standards.
• Inspect completed welds and fabricated structures for accuracy, strength, and quality.
• Use welding machines, cutting equipment, grinders, and other fabrication tools safely.
• Ensure fabricated components meet required dimensions and specifications.
• Perform grinding, finishing, and other post-welding activities as required.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
• Work efficiently with other fabricators, welders, and construction personnel.
• Complete other duties related to structural fabrication and welding as assigned.
