Our employer in New Zealand is in need of the following position:

STRUCTURAL WELDER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years overseas experience as a Structural Welder
• Experienced in heavy fabrication and structural steel welding
• Skilled in SMAW, FCAW, and MIG welding processes
• Knowledgeable in reading blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Physically fit and capable of handling heavy industrial work
• Able to work independently and within a team environment

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and assemble heavy steel structures based on technical drawings and project specifications
• Perform structural steel welding using SMAW, FCAW, and MIG welding processes
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication layouts accurately
• Conduct cutting, grinding, fitting, and welding of metal components for structural and industrial projects
• Inspect welded joints and finished products to ensure quality, strength, and safety compliance
• Operate welding and fabrication tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow workplace safety standards and welding procedures at all times
• Assist in maintaining clean and organized work areas

Requirements:

• PEOS, E-REG, POEA info sheet
