SHEETMETAL WORKER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience required.
• At least high school graduate.
• Proven experience in industrial insulation and cladding, sheetmetal work, or a related trade.
• Skilled in developing and forming sheetmetal fittings manually from flat sheet (CNC experience not required).
• Confident in using common hand tools and basic sheetmetal machinery.
• Ability to accurately measure and work from technical drawings, plans, or sketches.
• Willing and able to work at heights and in industrial site environments.
• Holds a valid Philippine driver’s license and willing to work towards obtaining a full New Zealand driver’s license.
• Strong attention to detail with pride in workmanship.
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently or within a team.
• Good communication skills with a positive and proactive attitude.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety practices.
• Good English communication skills. A valid IELTS overall score of 4.0 or higher is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and install metal cladding for:
  • Industrial pipework of various diameters
  • Vessels and tanks
  • Ducting and associated equipment
• Mark out, develop, and hand-form sheetmetal components including:
  • Segmented bends
  • Square-to-round transitions
  • Cones
  • Tees and other custom fittings
• Cut, fit, and secure aluminium, stainless steel, and galvanised sheets according to required specifications.
• Install thermal and acoustic insulation materials on pipework, vessels, and tanks.
• Read and interpret drawings, isometrics, sketches, and site instructions.
• Safely operate hand tools and basic sheetmetal equipment such as guillotines, rollers, folders, and nibblers.
• Measure, set out, and inspect work to ensure accurate and professional finishes.
• Perform work at customer sites while following workplace health and safety requirements.
• Maintain clean work areas and properly care for tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
• Work effectively as part of a team while delivering quality workmanship.
