Al Qahtani PCK Pipe Company (AQPCI) is seeking experienced GMAW Welders to join its steel manufacturing operations in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will perform high-quality welding in accordance with approved procedures, technical specifications, and industry standards while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

WELDER (GMAW)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of working experience as a GMAW Welder or in a related role.
• Must hold a Vocational Diploma/Short Course Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
• Must have 2–4 years of experience in GMAW, SAW, and/or SMAW welding processes within the steel manufacturing industry.
• Experienced in using various welding equipment and procedures, as well as electrical and manual tools such as saws, grinders, and calipers.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, welding procedure specifications (WPS), and engineering drawings.
• Must possess valid welding qualifications and certifications in accordance with applicable standards such as API 5L, API 2B, ASME, AWS D1.1, or equivalent.
• Professional welding certification (e.g., AWS Welding Certificate) is preferred.
• Knowledge of Arabic and Chinese is an advantage.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Read and implement process cards, welding procedures (WPS), and technical drawings before performing welding activities.
• Select and operate the appropriate welding equipment and methods based on project requirements.
• Set up and prepare components for welding according to applicable specifications.
• Operate angle grinders and other hand or power tools to prepare and adjust materials for welding.
• Check alignment of components using measuring tools such as calipers and rulers, and securely clamp workpieces before welding.
• Perform manual or semi-automatic welding in applicable welding positions (e.g., 1G and other required positions).
• Inspect completed welds to identify defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain welding equipment in safe operating condition and follow all workplace safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform other temporary or permanent duties as assigned by management.
