Pattern Maker

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one (1) year of working experience as a Pattern Maker, Dressmaker, or in a related field.
• Proven experience in ladies’ occasion wear and wedding dresses is required.
• Candidates must provide photos and videos showcasing their previous work in the same field.
• No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
• Skilled in pattern making, garment construction, fitting, and alterations.
• Ability to interpret design specifications, patterns, and customer requirements.
• Knowledge of fabric cutting, sewing techniques, and garment finishing.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Female applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and create garment patterns for ladies’ occasion wear, evening gowns, and wedding dresses.
• Interpret design specifications, sketches, and customer requirements to produce accurate patterns.
• Measure customers and take precise body measurements to ensure proper garment fitting.
• Cut fabrics according to approved patterns, measurements, and design requirements.
• Sew, stitch, hem, and finish garments using hand sewing techniques and sewing machines.
• Alter, repair, and customize garments to achieve the desired fit and appearance.
• Conduct fitting sessions and make necessary pattern and garment adjustments.
• Select appropriate fabrics, materials, and accessories based on garment designs.
• Ensure high standards of workmanship, finishing, and quality control.
• Maintain sewing equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Coordinate with designers, supervisors, and clients to meet production requirements and deadlines.
• Keep samples, patterns, and production records properly organized.
