Al Sharhan Industries is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians to support the operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and production facilities in Kuwait. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on mechanical equipment to ensure maximum machine efficiency, minimize production downtime, and maintain a safe working environment. This role is ideal for Mechanical Engineering graduates with hands-on experience in manufacturing industries.

TECHNICIAN (MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN)

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of working experience is required.
• Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing industry is required.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial production equipment.
• Experience with preventive maintenance systems and equipment reliability programs.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.
• Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical power transmission systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a maintenance team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain manufacturing machines, conveyors, pumps, compressors, motors, gearboxes, and other mechanical systems.
• Install, assemble, test, and commission new machinery and production equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Replace defective mechanical components, bearings, belts, seals, valves, and other machine parts.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and equipment service logs.
• Coordinate with production personnel to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with company policies, safety regulations, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to increase equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory required for maintenance activities.
• Participate in equipment upgrades, plant improvement projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned by supervisors.
