Kirimana Consultants Limited is seeking experienced Carpenters to join its construction team in New Zealand. The successful candidates will perform a wide range of carpentry works on heavy commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects while ensuring quality workmanship, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications.

CARPENTER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a Carpenter.
• Proven experience working on heavy commercial, industrial, or infrastructure construction projects.
• Good English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction specifications.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, construction materials, and safe work practices.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to perform demanding construction work.

Responsibilities:

• Construct, install, repair, and maintain wooden and structural components for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
• Read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, technical plans, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble timber, plywood, steel framing, and other construction materials with precision.
• Install walls, partitions, ceilings, doors, windows, flooring, roofing components, formwork, and other structural elements.
• Build and dismantle formwork, scaffolding supports, and temporary structures as required.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and building regulations.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to ensure timely completion of construction activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following workplace health and safety procedures.
• Identify and report material shortages, defects, or site issues to supervisors.
• Perform repair, renovation, and maintenance work on existing structures when required.
• Carry out other carpentry-related duties assigned by management.
