Kirimana Consultants Limited is seeking experienced Pipe Fitters to join its construction team in New Zealand. The successful candidates will install, assemble, maintain, and repair piping systems for heavy commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects while ensuring all work complies with engineering specifications, quality standards, and workplace safety regulations.

Pipe Fitter

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a Pipe Fitter.
• Proven experience working on heavy commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, piping layouts, and engineering specifications.
• Strong knowledge of pipe fitting techniques, materials, installation methods, and pressure testing procedures.
• Skilled in the use of pipe fitting tools, measuring instruments, and fabrication equipment.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
• Physically fit and willing to work in demanding construction and industrial environments.

Responsibilities:

• Install, assemble, align, and maintain piping systems for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
• Read and interpret piping isometric drawings, blueprints, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
• Measure, cut, thread, bevel, bend, and fit pipes using hand tools, power tools, and specialized pipe fitting equipment.
• Install valves, flanges, fittings, supports, pumps, and related piping components.
• Perform pipe layout, alignment, and fit-up to ensure accurate installation according to project specifications.
• Conduct pressure testing, leak testing, and inspections of piping systems before commissioning.
• Repair, modify, and replace damaged or defective piping components and equipment.
• Coordinate with welders, engineers, supervisors, and other trades to ensure efficient project execution.
• Maintain accurate work records and report installation progress, defects, or material requirements.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, company procedures, and industry standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Perform other pipe fitting and installation duties assigned by management.
