GRILL CHEF
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) year of working experience as a Grill Chef, Line Cook, or in a related culinary role.
- No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
- Culinary school diploma or certification in Culinary Arts, Barbecue Techniques, or related field is an advantage.
- Completion of specialized training in meat preparation, butchery, or grilling techniques is preferred.
- Proficiency in cutting and butchering sheep meat for marination and grilling.
- Strong knowledge of grilling techniques and meat cooking temperatures.
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Must possess a passport with at least two and a half (2.5) years validity remaining.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and grill various types of meat, poultry, and other food items according to menu specifications and recipes.
- Perform meat preparation, including cutting, trimming, and butchering sheep meat for marination and grilling.
- Apply proper marination techniques to enhance flavor, tenderness, and quality of grilled products.
- Operate and maintain grilling equipment, charcoal grills, gas grills, and related kitchen tools.
- Monitor cooking temperatures and timing to ensure food is properly cooked and served at high quality.
- Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation of grilled dishes.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grilling station and kitchen equipment.
- Assist in food preparation and mise en place as required.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of orders.
- Monitor inventory of meat and grilling supplies and report shortages when necessary.
- Support senior chefs in maintaining kitchen efficiency and workflow.
