IT SPECIALIST

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of working experience in information technology, technical support, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, software installation, networking, and system administration.
  • Experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Familiarity with operating systems, office applications, and peripheral devices.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity practices, data backup, and system security.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical tasks.
  • Must possess a passport with at least two and a half (2.5) years validity remaining.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, networks, and IT systems.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure the availability and reliability of IT services.
  • Maintain and administer user accounts, access permissions, and system credentials.
  • Perform data backup, recovery, and system maintenance activities.
  • Install software updates, security patches, and system enhancements.
  • Configure, maintain, and support printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining cybersecurity measures and data protection policies.
  • Monitor network performance and address connectivity issues.
  • Maintain IT documentation, system records, and inventory of hardware and software assets.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for technical support and equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies, security standards, and operational procedures.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to end users when necessary.
