Sinopec Engineering Group Saudi Co., Ltd is seeking highly skilled and certified 6G Welders to perform precision welding works for industrial and oil & gas projects in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for high-quality pipe welding, blueprint interpretation, equipment maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
6G WELDER
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years working experience as a 6G Welder.
- Candidates must hold a Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in:
- Engineering (Metal Fabrication / Tool & Die / Welding)
- Engineering (Petroleum / Oil / Gas)
- Or related fields.
- Valid and updated certification such as ASME, AWS, or equivalent specifically for 6G welding is required.
- Must have strong experience in 6G pipe welding.
- Welds must be capable of passing RT / X-ray testing.
- Strong technical skills in GTAW (TIG) and SMAW (Stick) welding processes.
- Proficient in welding fixed-position pipes and creating full-penetration welds on different pipe diameters.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Perform precision welding on pipes, tubes, and plates in the 6G (inclined), vertical, and overhead positions.
- Utilize SMAW (Stick), GTAW (TIG), and FCAW welding processes on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other metals.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Lay out, align, fit-up, and clamp components using appropriate measuring and alignment tools.
- Ensure welds meet radiographic (RT/X-ray) and visual inspection standards with a high pass rate.
- Maintain compliance with workplace safety standards and proper use of protective equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspection of welding machines, torches, grinders, and related tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
