Roofer

Qualifications:

  • At least a High School Graduate.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a Roofer or in a similar construction role.
  • Proven skills and experience in roof installation, repair, waterproofing, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of different roofing materials, installation methods, insulation systems, and waterproofing techniques.
  • Ability to measure, mark, cut, fit, and install roofing materials accurately according to project specifications.
  • Familiarity with roof structures, flashing, gutters, drainage systems, and related roofing components.
  • Proficient in using roofing tools, hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
  • Ability to read and follow construction plans, technical drawings, and work instructions.
  • Knowledge of construction safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials, climbing ladders, and working at heights.
  • Must have a valid passport.
  • Must be able to communicate in English and understand work-related instructions.
  • Good teamwork, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to complete assigned tasks within project deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain roofs on residential, commercial, and other construction projects.
  • Prepare roof surfaces and supporting structures before installing roofing materials.
  • Measure, mark, cut, and fit roofing materials according to construction plans and project specifications.
  • Install roofing materials such as metal sheets, shingles, tiles, and other approved roofing products.
  • Install roof insulation, waterproofing membranes, flashing, and other protective components as required.
  • Fit and secure roof drainage components, including gutters, downpipes, and related fittings.
  • Inspect roofs for leaks, cracks, damaged materials, and other structural or weather-related issues.
  • Carry out roof repairs, replacements, and maintenance to ensure durability and weather resistance.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and other roofing equipment safely and properly.
  • Follow construction drawings, supervisor instructions, and established installation procedures.
  • Observe work-at-height safety requirements and use appropriate fall protection equipment and PPE.
  • Maintain roofing tools and equipment and report damaged or defective items.
  • Coordinate with carpenters, construction workers, and other tradespeople to complete roofing projects efficiently.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized and properly handle construction materials and waste.
  • Perform other related roofing and construction duties as assigned by the supervisor.
