Caregiver

Qualifications:

  • At least a High School Graduate.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in elderly care, patient care, home care, or a similar caregiving position.
  • Must have Basic Health Care Certification and have completed a Caregiver Training Program.
  • Knowledge of basic first aid, vital signs monitoring, personal hygiene, and proper caregiving practices.
  • Experienced in assisting patients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility.
  • Able to assist with medication reminders and follow medication instructions provided by healthcare professionals.
  • Good communication skills and ability to communicate in English.
  • Patient, compassionate, trustworthy, and responsible when providing care.
  • Physically fit and capable of assisting patients with walking, transferring, and other mobility needs safely.
  • Able to work independently and follow care plans and instructions.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and schedules as required.
  • Must have a valid passport.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and assistance with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
  • Assist patients with walking, mobility, positioning, and transferring safely.
  • Monitor the patient’s general health condition and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professional or supervisor.
  • Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration only as permitted by the care plan, training, and applicable regulations.
  • Monitor and record vital signs when trained and instructed to do so.
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding according to the patient’s dietary requirements and care instructions.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and ensure the patient’s living environment is clean, comfortable, and safe.
  • Provide companionship, emotional support, and assistance with daily routines.
  • Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and other household tasks related to the patient’s care.
  • Observe proper infection prevention, hygiene, and safety procedures.
  • Follow care plans, instructions from healthcare professionals, and established caregiving standards.
  • Report emergencies, accidents, changes in behavior, or other concerns promptly.
  • Perform other related caregiving duties as assigned.
