Pacific Industries Ltd. is hiring a Plant Manager for deployment to Papua New Guinea. The role involves overseeing full plant operations in a beverage or brewing manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient production processes, equipment performance, workforce management, and compliance with operational and safety standards.

PLANT MANAGER

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s Degree is an advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in beverage, brewing, or similar large-scale manufacturing operations.
• Strong leadership experience in managing plant operations, production teams, and maintenance functions.
• Demonstrated experience with Krones production lines or similar large-scale beverage manufacturing machinery.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiar with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, both manual and computerized production processes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to train, motivate, and develop staff effectively.
• Experience in budgeting, production planning, and operational efficiency improvement.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and quality standards in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the entire manufacturing plant.
• Ensure production targets are met efficiently and safely.
• Manage and supervise production, maintenance, and quality teams.
• Monitor and improve production efficiency, machine uptime, and output quality.
• Implement operational strategies to optimize plant performance.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of Krones or similar production machinery.
• Develop and enforce safety, quality control, and compliance procedures.
• Manage workforce planning, training, and staff development programs.
• Analyze production data and prepare operational reports for senior management.
• Control operational costs and support budgeting processes.
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and supply chain teams.
• Identify process improvements and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
