Aircraft Refueling Operator

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in aircraft refueling, fuel handling, aviation ground operations, or a related field is an advantage.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is preferred.
• Knowledge of aviation fuel handling procedures, fueling equipment, and airport safety regulations.
• Ability to safely operate refueling trucks, dispensers, hydrant systems, and related fueling equipment.
• Familiarity with emergency response procedures and fuel spill prevention practices.
• Good English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions and airport operational environments.
• Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs.

Responsibilities:

• Execute all work assignments issued by the Airport Station Manager, Shift Supervisor, and Crew Chief.
• Perform daily inspections and operational checks of refuelers, dispensers, and other fueling equipment before use.
• Conduct daily fuel sampling procedures to ensure product quality and report fuel quantities to the Shift Supervisor.
• Inspect vehicle components, including tires, hoses, fire extinguishers, lights, brakes, wipers, and other safety devices before each operation.
• Verify that overwrite seals are intact, reset registered meters, and record opening totalizer readings in the Aircraft Delivery Receipt (ADR).
  Safely drive and operate aircraft refuelers and fuel dispensers in accordance with airport and company safety procedures.
• Operate fuel pumping and dispensing systems efficiently while complying with aviation fueling standards.
• Identify and understand the location and operation of local and main emergency fuel shut-off switches.
• Approach aircraft at safe operating speeds and position refueling vehicles to maintain a clear emergency exit path.
• Perform aircraft refueling operations using the deadman control system and accurately record fueling start and completion times in the ADR.
• Connect bonding wires, fueling hoses, and related equipment to ensure safe fuel transfer and prevent static discharge.
• Operate hydrant pit valves correctly during hydrant fueling operations.
• Maintain accurate fueling records, inspection reports, and operational documentation.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, spills, equipment malfunctions, and other operational incidents in accordance with airport emergency procedures.
• Comply with all aviation safety regulations, environmental standards, airport security requirements, and company policies.
• Perform other related duties assigned by management.
