Pacific International Hospital is seeking an experienced Obstetrics & Gynecology (Laparoscopic Surgery) professional to support advanced surgical procedures and provide high-quality patient care in Papua New Guinea. The successful candidate will assist in obstetric and gynecological surgical procedures, ensure patient safety, and contribute to efficient operating room operations.

OBSTETRICS & GYNECOLOGY (Laproscopic Surgery)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of working experience in surgical technology or a related field.
• Must hold a Professional License (Passed Board/Professional License Examination).
• Must have Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification.
• Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist, preferably in Obstetrics and Gynecology, is required.
• Knowledge and experience in laparoscopic surgical procedures is preferred.
• Good understanding of surgical techniques, patient safety practices, and infection control procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in obstetric and gynecological laparoscopic surgical procedures.
• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and operating room requirements.
• Support surgeons and medical teams before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Ensure proper sterilization, handling, and organization of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout surgical procedures.
• Follow established surgical protocols, infection control standards, and hospital policies.
• Maintain accurate surgical records and documentation.
• Work effectively with the healthcare team in a fast-paced surgical environment.
