Pacific International Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Interventional Cardiologist to provide advanced cardiovascular care in Papua New Guinea. The successful candidate will diagnose and treat complex heart conditions, perform interventional cardiac procedures, and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while working closely with a multidisciplinary medical team.

INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGIST

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of working experience as an Interventional Cardiologist or in a related specialty.
• Must hold a Professional License (Passed Board/Professional License Examination).
• Must possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Must be Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology.
• Completion of a residency in Internal Medicine (or equivalent) followed by a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology.
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to perform effectively in high-stress situations and make critical decisions quickly.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient management skills.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage patients with cardiovascular diseases and related conditions.
• Perform interventional cardiology procedures, including cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, and other minimally invasive cardiac interventions.
• Evaluate patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure optimal clinical outcomes.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging to develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Respond effectively to cardiac emergencies and make timely clinical decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Educate patients and their families on heart health, treatment options, and post-procedure care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and medical ethics.
