FOOD INSPECTOR

Qualifications:

• Male applicants only.
• Up to 45 years old.
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related food-industry field.
• At least five (5) years of relevant experience, in accordance with the contract requirement.
• Must possess Highfield HACCP Level 4 certification.
• Must possess ISO 22000 certification.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, food hygiene, sanitation, food handling, and food safety management systems.
• Experience conducting food safety inspections, audits, monitoring, and compliance checks.
• Strong observation, documentation, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills when working with food service and operational teams.
• Ability to identify food safety hazards and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Willingness to comply with workplace policies, food safety procedures, and applicable requirements in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections of food preparation, handling, storage, receiving, and serving areas.
• Monitor food products and processes to ensure compliance with established food safety and quality standards.
• Inspect raw materials, ingredients, prepared foods, and finished products for quality, freshness, contamination, and proper handling.
• Verify proper food storage conditions, including temperature control, labeling, segregation, and stock rotation.
• Monitor compliance with HACCP-based food safety procedures and preventive control measures.
• Conduct checks on personal hygiene, sanitation, cleaning procedures, and safe food-handling practices.
• Identify potential food safety hazards, contamination risks, and non-conformities during inspections.
• Document inspection findings, observations, violations, corrective actions, and follow-up activities accurately.
• Recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions when food safety or quality issues are identified.
• Verify that food preparation equipment, utensils, storage facilities, and work areas are properly cleaned and maintained.
• Monitor temperature control procedures for refrigerators, freezers, cooking equipment, hot-holding units, and other food storage facilities.
• Check food products for proper expiration dates, packaging condition, labeling, and traceability.
• Assist in investigating food safety incidents, complaints, suspected contamination, and other quality-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, checklists, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with kitchen, food service, warehouse, quality control, and management teams regarding food safety requirements.
• Provide guidance to food handlers regarding proper hygiene, sanitation, food handling, and HACCP practices when required.
• Assist in internal audits and inspections related to food safety management systems.
• Ensure that food safety procedures are consistently implemented and maintained across assigned areas.
• Stay informed about applicable food safety regulations, standards, and company procedures.
• Perform other food inspection and food safety duties assigned by management.
