Cake Artist / Decorator

Qualifications:

• At least 2–5 years of relevant work experience as a Cake Artist, Cake Decorator, or Cake Designer.
• Skilled in creating decorative cakes using icing, fondant, chocolate, and other edible materials.
• Experience designing and decorating cakes for special events, weddings, bakeries, or similar occasions.
• Creative ability, attention to detail, and good presentation skills.
• Knowledge of cake-decorating techniques, tools, ingredients, and food safety practices.
• Must hold TESDA Bread and Pastry Production NC II or TESDA Warehousing Services NC II, or be willing to acquire the required certification, as stated in the supplied vacancy details.
• Ability to follow customer specifications, production schedules, and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Design, prepare, and decorate cakes according to customer requests, event themes, and design specifications.
• Create decorative cake designs using icing, fondant, chocolate, and other edible materials.
• Decorate cakes for weddings, birthdays, celebrations, special events, and retail bakery orders.
• Apply various cake-decorating techniques, including piping, fondant shaping, sculpting, and decorative finishing.
• Prepare and use appropriate decorating tools, ingredients, and materials.
• Ensure cakes meet quality standards for appearance, consistency, and presentation.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures when preparing and decorating cakes.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations and properly care for decorating equipment.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff and management to complete orders accurately and on schedule.
• Minimize ingredient waste while maintaining the quality of finished products.
