Pacific International Hospital is seeking an experienced Pulmonologist to provide specialized care for patients with respiratory and pulmonary conditions in Papua New Guinea. The successful candidate will diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of lung diseases while delivering compassionate, evidence-based care and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

PULMONOLOGIST

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of working experience as a Pulmonologist or in a related specialty.
• Must hold a Professional License (Passed Board/Professional License Examination).
• Must possess a Medical Degree (MD) and a valid license to practice medicine.
• Must hold Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Pulmonology.
• Proven experience in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases.
• In-depth knowledge of respiratory medicine and related diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Excellent patient management, communication, interpersonal, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Committed to patient care, continuous professional development, and medical ethics.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic respiratory diseases and pulmonary disorders.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures related to respiratory medicine.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
• Provide consultations for patients with complex pulmonary conditions.
• Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment options, and long-term respiratory care.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.
• Stay current with advancements in pulmonology and apply best practices in patient care.
• Uphold the highest standards of medical ethics, patient safety, and quality care.
