CAD OPERATOR

Qualifications:

• Preferably with experience in overseas projects, particularly as a Rebar Detailing Specialist.
• Proven ability to prepare accurate rebar bending and cutting diagrams.
• Skilled in preparing detailed structural reinforcement shop drawings.
• Able to create precise 2D rebar placement drawings and structural reinforcement models.
• Experienced in preparing accurate Bar Bending Schedules (BBS).
• Knowledgeable in reinforcement steel sizes, bar shapes, bending requirements, spacing, laps, anchorage, and placement details.
• Able to accurately interpret structural drawings, engineering plans, specifications, sections, and reinforcement details.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dimensions, quantities, bar marks, and reinforcement information.
• Capable of producing clear and fabrication-ready cut-and-bend diagrams.
• Knowledge of structural concrete reinforcement and rebar fabrication processes.
• Able to identify inconsistencies or errors in reinforcement drawings and make appropriate corrections.
• Skilled in CAD drafting and technical drawing preparation.
• Able to manage drawing revisions and maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet project deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills when working with engineers, fabricators, and construction teams.
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to producing accurate and high-quality technical drawings.
• Able to work independently while also contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary project team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed reinforcement shop drawings based on structural drawings, engineering plans, and project specifications.
• Create accurate 2D CAD drawings showing rebar placement, spacing, sizes, shapes, laps, bends, and reinforcement details.
• Develop structural reinforcement models and detailed rebar layouts for construction and fabrication purposes.
• Prepare rebar bending and cutting diagrams accurately according to project requirements.
• Generate precise Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) for fabrication and site installation.
• Ensure BBS information includes correct bar marks, diameters, lengths, shapes, quantities, and bending dimensions.
• Prepare cut-and-bend diagrams for fabrication shops to support accurate production of reinforcement steel.
• Review structural drawings and reinforcement plans to identify required rebar details and quantities.
• Interpret engineering drawings, structural plans, sections, elevations, details, and reinforcement specifications.
• Check rebar detailing against structural design requirements, dimensions, and applicable project standards.
• Coordinate reinforcement drawings and details with structural engineers, project teams, fabricators, and site personnel.
• Revise CAD drawings and reinforcement details based on engineering changes, site requirements, or design revisions.
• Verify dimensions, bar sizes, spacing, lap lengths, bends, anchorage, and other reinforcement requirements before issuing drawings.
• Minimize fabrication errors by ensuring drawings, BBS, and cutting/bending information are complete and accurate.
• Maintain organized CAD files, drawing revisions, BBS documents, and other technical records.
• Follow established drawing standards, project procedures, naming conventions, and document-control requirements.
• Prepare drawings and schedules within required project deadlines.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies between structural drawings, reinforcement details, and fabrication requirements.
• Support the fabrication and construction teams by providing clear and accurate reinforcement information.
• Perform quality checks on completed drawings and schedules before submission or release for fabrication.
• Communicate effectively with engineers, detailers, fabricators, and other project personnel.
• Perform other CAD drafting, rebar detailing, and technical documentation duties assigned by management.
