METAL FABRICATOR

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of working experience is required.
• Candidates must be at least a graduate of a four-year undergraduate course.
• Mechanical background is preferred.
• Proficiency in metalworking tools and equipment including welding machines, plasma cutters, and bending equipment.
• Experience in structural steel fabrication, welding, cutting, and assembly works.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Valid Forklift License is required.
• Basic knowledge of machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) practices and safety compliance.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have completed at least a one-year vocational course or one year in college.
• Strong English communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with the Factory Manager and production teams.

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, assemble, and weld structural reinforcing steel and heavy-gauge metal components.
• Perform cutting, bending, and fabrication work based on technical drawings and specifications.
• Repair and maintain fabricated steel products and structural components.
• Operate fabrication machinery including welding equipment, cutters, and bending machines.
• Load, move, and handle raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently.
• Conduct quality inspections in accordance with ISO 9001 and ACRS standards.
• Meet daily production targets and complete production reports accurately.
• Perform machine setup, changeovers, and pre-start operational safety checks.
• Operate overhead gantry cranes and forklifts as required.
• Assist with maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs of production machinery.
• Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with OH&S policies, workplace safety regulations, and company procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient production and project completion.
