Eram Manpower Services is seeking qualified and experienced Riggers to work in the United Arab Emirates. The successful candidates will be responsible for the safe preparation, rigging, lifting, moving, positioning, and securing of heavy materials and equipment at industrial and construction sites. Candidates with experience in Oil & Gas projects are highly preferred. The role requires strong knowledge of rigging practices, lifting equipment, load handling, and workplace safety procedures.

RIGGER

Qualifications:

• Male, not more than 45 years old.
• Relevant work experience as a Rigger or in the same or a similar position.
• Previous experience in Oil & Gas projects is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of the duties and responsibilities related to rigging and lifting operations.
• Knowledge of safe rigging, lifting, signaling, load handling, and material-handling practices.
• Familiarity with slings, shackles, wire ropes, chains, hooks, lifting clamps, tag lines, and other rigging accessories.
• Ability to assess loads and select appropriate rigging equipment based on load requirements and lifting conditions.
• Ability to properly secure, balance, guide, and position suspended loads.
• Knowledge of basic lifting signals and effective communication with crane operators.
• Ability to inspect rigging equipment and identify signs of damage, excessive wear, or other defects.
• Good understanding of lifting safety, PPE requirements, exclusion zones, and safe working practices.
• Physically capable of performing hands-on rigging and lifting work in industrial, construction, or Oil & Gas environments.
• Strong awareness of workplace hazards and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
• Ability to follow lifting plans, technical instructions, safety procedures, and supervisor directives.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and able to work effectively in a demanding industrial environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform rigging and lifting activities for pipes, structural steel, machinery, equipment, materials, and other heavy loads.
• Inspect loads and determine appropriate rigging methods based on weight, dimensions, center of gravity, and lifting requirements.
• Select and properly use slings, shackles, wire ropes, chains, hooks, spreader beams, lifting clamps, and other rigging accessories.
• Attach, secure, balance, and release loads safely during lifting and movement operations.
• Conduct pre-use inspections of rigging equipment and lifting accessories to identify damage, wear, defects, or unsafe conditions.
• Ensure that lifting equipment and rigging accessories are suitable for the intended load and within their rated capacity.
• Guide crane operators and lifting equipment operators using recognized hand signals or approved communication methods.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with crane operators, supervisors, signalmen, and other personnel during lifting operations.
• Assist in positioning and accurately placing loads at designated locations.
• Control suspended loads and use tag lines to prevent uncontrolled movement when appropriate.
• Assist with the loading, unloading, transportation, and positioning of materials and equipment.
• Follow approved lifting plans, rigging procedures, method statements, and work instructions.
• Ensure lifting areas are properly prepared, barricaded, and free from unnecessary obstructions.
• Check lifting paths and identify potential hazards before and during lifting operations.
• Report damaged rigging equipment, unsafe lifting conditions, and other hazards to the supervisor immediately.
• Assist in the proper storage, handling, and maintenance of rigging tools and accessories.
• Ensure slings, shackles, hooks, ropes, and other rigging equipment are stored properly to prevent damage.
• Coordinate with welders, fabricators, pipe fitters, electricians, mechanics, crane operators, and other site personnel during lifting activities.
• Assist with the erection, installation, dismantling, and relocation of industrial and structural components when required.
• Follow proper procedures for working around cranes, lifting equipment, scaffolding, vehicles, and other site machinery.
• Maintain proper housekeeping around lifting and rigging work areas.
• Follow company safety policies, PPE requirements, permit-to-work procedures, and applicable industrial and Oil & Gas safety standards.
• Observe safe working distances and ensure personnel remain clear of suspended loads.
• Participate in toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and job hazard assessments as required.
• Perform other rigging, lifting, material-handling, and related duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
