MANAGER BUSINESS SERVICE / WORKSHOP MANAGER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience is required.
• Bachelor’s/College Degree in Business Studies, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
• Trade qualification in Mechanical, Automotive, or a related technical field is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of workshop experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role, is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of automotive repair, maintenance procedures, workshop operations, and fleet management.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and staff development skills.
• Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in budget management, inventory control, and operational reporting.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise the daily operations of the workshop to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of jobs.
• Assign work schedules and responsibilities to mechanics, technicians, and workshop personnel based on workload and priorities.
• Monitor the progress of vehicle repairs, preventive maintenance, servicing, and special projects to meet quality standards and deadlines.
• Ensure all repair and maintenance work complies with manufacturer specifications, company procedures, and industry best practices.
• Lead, coach, and motivate workshop staff to improve productivity, technical skills, and overall team performance.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and identify training and development opportunities for employees.
• Maintain high standards of customer service by ensuring repairs are completed accurately and delivered on time.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal departments regarding repair status, parts availability, and service requirements.
• Enforce workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the workshop.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
• Manage workshop budgets, operating expenses, and inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate procurement to ensure parts and materials are readily available.
• Prepare operational, maintenance, and financial reports for management review.
• Identify opportunities to improve workshop processes, increase efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance service quality.
