Australian Skilled Migration is seeking an experienced Forklift Technician for an overseas employment opportunity in Australia. The position is focused on the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, servicing, and repair of forklift and material-handling equipment, particularly Toyota Material Handling equipment.

FORKLIFT TECHNICIAN (TOYOTA MATERIAL HANDLING)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the same field is required.
• Must have at least 1 year of college or have completed a 1-year vocational course.
• Strong experience in forklift servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Experience with Toyota Material Handling equipment is highly relevant.
• Knowledge of forklift mechanical and related systems.
• Ability to diagnose equipment faults and perform appropriate repairs.
• Good understanding of preventive maintenance procedures.
• Ability to use mechanical tools, diagnostic equipment, and workshop equipment.
• Strong attention to safety and equipment reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, service, maintain, and repair forklift and material-handling equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and operational faults in forklifts.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing according to manufacturer and workplace requirements.
• Troubleshoot forklift performance and equipment problems.
• Replace worn, damaged, or defective components as required.
• Carry out mechanical adjustments and repairs to keep forklifts operating safely and efficiently.
• Conduct operational and safety checks following maintenance or repair work.
• Use appropriate diagnostic equipment, tools, and workshop equipment.
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
• Identify potential equipment problems and recommend appropriate corrective action.
• Follow manufacturer specifications and established maintenance procedures.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and assigned work areas in good condition.
• Follow workplace health and safety requirements at all times.
• Perform other forklift maintenance and technician duties as assigned.
